Veterinary Acupuncture

Veterinary Acupuncture is used to treat pain, inflammation, muscle spasms, arthritis and neurological issues. It can also be used to a complementary treatment of a variety of medical conditions. Acupuncture increases circulation, causes a release of many neurochemicals, some of which are endorphins, the body’s ‘natural pain-killers’, relieves muscle spasms, stimulates nerves, stimulates the body’s defense systems, as well as numerous other beneficial effects. We usually start with a session every 1-2 weeks for three to four sessions and then individualize based on your pet’s specific needs.

Nutrition Counseling

I'm a distance runner and triathlete myself and know the benefits that acupuncture and physical rehabilitation have brought to my athletic career--I am honored to be able to offer these modalities to our pets.  I've also spent more than 16 years in the pet food industry and have firsthand experience of the power of life-changing nutrition for our pets.  We can develop a personalized plan for your pet to achieve and maintain ideal body condition.

Canine and Feline Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation therapy involves the use of specific non-invasive treatments (massage, exercise, heat, cold, electricity, ultrasound) to rehabilitate injured patients. The goal of rehabilitation is to return the patient to normal function as quickly as possible, and to restore the full range of movement and strength to injured body parts.

Pet Strength and Conditioning

Keeping our pet’s muscles strong and engaged is important regardless of age, breed or current fitness level.  It can help decrease the risk of injury, provide mental enrichment and keep them moving and grooving throughout their lifetime. Our plans are designed for your pet’s specific needs, are easy to integrate into your pet’s daily routine, and use “equipment” you likely already have at home.
